Research on fishing spot estimation by Ocean Eyes’ director Dr. Masaaki Iiyama (Shiga University) and Shizuoka prefecture was published in “THE SUISAN-KEIZAI DAILY NEWS” on December 18, 2021. Their prediction of fishing spot of skipjack tune is estimated by sea surface temperature from satellite data and the prediction accuracy of this method is higher than by human. So we hope that the research contribute to shorten the time for searching fishing spot and reduce fuel for fishing skipjack tune and other fishes.
