Co-founder Kasahara gave a speech on digitization in the fishery industry at the first Pitch event jointly organized by Kyoto University and Plug and Play on February 1, 2020.
Kasahara gave a short presentation on the Ocean Eyes, which is promoting the digitalization of the fishery industry by utilizing FishTech, such as fisheries forecasting, sea surface temperature forecasting, and satellite image restoration. This event was held as part of the EDGE-NEXT program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. In addition to four venture companies originating from universities in Japan, VCs from not only Japan but also Hong Kong participated in the event and gave speeches on the actual state of venture business to students and researchers of Kyoto University who are interested in starting up a business.
